The Design Review service
Where the client or contractor has an existing design, we can offer assistance with a critical, independent appraisal.
With vast experience in warehouse Flooring design, we execute analysis of the specification, Structural joint layout and detailing of the construction proposals.
Although the design review does not constitute a design in its own right, it still proves to be a vital tool in the planning and execution of a floor slab. Structural Design & Detailing Service
Everything starts primarily from design. We understand your need and the wear and tear the floor needs to take. Accordingly, we would be designing the floor and create sectional diagrams and detail for the execution of the project.
Structural Appraisal Of Existing Floors
We carry out structural investigations and retrospective design analysis of existing floors. This can be part of a due diligence process for new owners or tenants or as required for a refit of a warehouse/ Industry spaces where loads are to be increased or where the original design information for the floor is unavailable. Structural appraisals can also form part of dilapidation surveys for building owners.
The structural appraisals process begins with a desk study of available construction information and history of the building. The loading analysis can then be specific to the client’s bespoke requirements or to institutional standards.
Investigations include concrete core sampling and testing, cover meter testing for reinforcement and dowels, and where needed, full geotechnical appraisals can be commissioned.
Crack Surveys Service
We are able to perform Crack Surveys which could be used as part of an investigation into the reasons for the formation of cracks in a floor. Cracks can be surveyed, measured and then mapped in AutoCAD for monitoring purposes.
Dilapidation Surveys / Condition Reports
Dilapidation surveys to the Property Industry, and can provide a rapid response to requests for surveys.
Prospective purchasers or tenants must check the condition of the floor before entering into agreements. Full repair leases can be punitive on the unwary tenant.
Surveys range from surface condition through to full structural investigations and analysis, to provide all the necessary information for the due diligence procedures.
Surface Regularity Check
We do surface regularity Check surface to ‘BS 8204-2:2003+A2:2011’ straight edge specifications SR1, SR2 and SR3.
