Vibratory truss screeds are designed for precise strike-off and consolidation of concrete surfaces up to 25 cm/10 inches thick where critical flatness is desired. The width of slab can be extended up to 27 feet as the truss comes in sections around 1-3m long and the sections can be joined together to form a structure using different extension modules making it a good option for screeding wide bay pours.

Most interestingly, this machine can be put to use where the required tolerance is “Superflat” as per regulated flooring standards.

Truss Screed system is usually mounted on rails on the formwork. This ensures that the elevation of the truss remains constant as it moves across the slab surface. Trusses are used because they are very rigid and therefore shouldn’t flex when spanning long distances. This ensures that the floor will be completely flat.

Hydraulic-powered truss screed can move at variable speeds, some up to 24 feet per minute. The obvious benefit of truss screed is their ability to screed much larger areas in a single pass.
